Sand worker died in Bhuapur

A soil cutting worker was killed after getting stuck into a pile of sand in Bhuapur upazila of Tangail district.
The incident took place at Sharpolshia area Balur Ghat Point of Nikrail Union of the Upazila on Sunday morning.
The deceased was identified as Rashedul Islam,25, son of Ismail Hossian of Palshia village of the upazila. In this incident two more workers were critically injured. The injured were rescued and sent to hospital for treatment, locals and witness said.
Masudul Haq, Chairman of Nikrail Union Parishad said, the pile of sand was very high. Three or four people went up to the pile of sand to open the pipe there. Later, a pile of sand collapsed and fell on them, killing one person on the spot. Two others were injured.
