Winter clothes distributed in districts

RDRS Bangladesh and Muslim Aid-UK Bangladesh jointly distributed winter packages to 550 families. These packages were distributed among the vulnerable people of Rangpur, Lalmonirhat, Dinajpur and Panchagarh and Moulvibazar area of Sylhet in RDRS working area. Before the distribution, a list of actual destitute people has prepared with the help of UNOs and UP Chairmen, members in the respective areas. Everyone is assembled according to the list, seated in chairs and formally handed the packet to each in their respective chairs. Each packet contained a blanket, a pair of socks, a woolen monkey hat, a carrying bag and a bottle of Vaseline.
The program started on January 9, 2023 with the distribution of winter packages to 550 families in Aditmari Upazila of Lalmonirhat and ended on Wednesday ( January 18) with the distribution of similar packages to 550 families in Mornea Union of Gangachara Upazila of Rangpur.
A total of 2945 families have been given winter package items. Apart from the officials of RDRS Bangladesh and Muslim Aid-UK Bangladesh, upazila executive officers and other officials of the concerned upazilas and UP chairman-members were present in each event.
Sarishabari (Jamalpur) Correspondent reports : Winter clothes were distributed in Sarishabari Upazila of Jamalpur on Friday.
The successful former principal of Tejgaon College, Dhaka and members of presidium Central committee of Bangabandhu Education and Research Council was present as the chief guest in the function The chief guest distributed five hundred winter clothes (blankets) among the distressed people at Shilpa kola in Sarishabari Uapzila .
Convenor of Sarishabari Upazila of Bangabandhu Education and Research Council Abul Kalam Azad was presided over the event. Principal Sarowar Jahan , Mayor Monir Uddin, leaders are activists of Upazila Awami League, journalists and others were present on the occasion. The programme was conducted by Joynal Abedin Bublu.
BSS from Tungipara, Gopalganj says : A total of 300 blankets from the Prime Minister’s Relief and Welfare Fund were distributed among the cold-affected poor and helpless people living in Radhaganj union under Kotalipara upazila of the district Saturday.
Former Secretary Md. Shahid Ullah Khandakar handed over the blankets as the chief guest at a function organised by Radhaganj union parishad on its premises this morning with Chairman of Radhaganj Union Parishad Bhim Chandra Bagchi in the chair.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Ferdous Wahid, Radhaganj Union Awami League President Sarbananda Baidya and Upazila Chhatra League General Secretary Rafiqul Islam, among others, spoke at the function.
Shahid Ullah Khandakar urged the rich people to stand by the cold affected poor people to mitigate their sufferings.
BSS from Barguna adds: A total of 500 blankets from the Prime Minister’s Relief and Welfare Fund were distributed among the cold-affected poor and helpless people living in Amtali municipality of the district on Friday afternoon.
Amtali municipal mayor Md. Matiar Rahman handed over the blankets as the chief guest at a simple function organised by Amtali municipality administration on its premises this afternoon.
Amtali upazila Parishad Chairman (Acting) Md Mojibur Rahman, officials of the municipality, local elite and journalists were present.
Mayor Md. Matiar Rahman urged the rich people to stand by the cold affected poor people to mitigate their sufferings.
