SUST Teachers Association gets new President and secy

In the election of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) Teachers’ Association, Professor of Statistics Department Md. Kabir Hossain was elected as the president from the panel of “Teachers united in the spirit of the Great Liberation War and the practice of free thinking”. (164 votes)
And associate professor of economics department was elected as general secretary from the panel of ‘Students motivated by the spirit of the Great Liberation War’. Md. Mahbubul Hakim (154 votes).
On Wednesday (January 18) the results were announced at 10:30 PM by Chief Election Commissioner Dr. Karim. Mohammad Farhad Howlader.
In the election, the professor of mathematics department was elected from the panel of “Teachers united in the spirit of the great liberation war and the practice of free thinking”. Chandrani Nag (151 votes), elected as Treasurer of the Department of Economics
Dr. Munshi Ibn Nasser Ibn Afzal (183 votes), the associate professor of Food Engineering and Technology Department, was elected as joint editor from the panel of “students inspired by the spirit of the great liberation war”. Zahirul Islam (150 votes).
