Easy win for Comilla Victorians

Comilla Victorians registered an easy 33-run win over Dhaka Dominators in their sixth match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Cricket at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram, the port city of the country on Thursday.
Comilla gained six points from six matches, while Dhaka remained with two points from five matches.
Sent into bat first, Comilla piled up a massive total of 184 for the loss of four wickets in the stipulated 20 overs and then restricted Dhaka to 151 for the loss of four wickets in 20 overs.
Comilla Victorians had a sorrow start as opener Litton Das (0) was caught by Jubair Hossain off Taskin Ahmed when Comilla’s score was naught.
Opener Mohammad Rizwan and one-down Imrul Kayes repaired the damage contributing together 47 runs for the second wicket partnership before Imrul Kayes was caught by Robin Das off Nasir Hossain when Comilla’s total was 47 for the loss of two wickets.
After Imrul’s dismissal, Rizwan and Johnson Charles mended their innings scoring together 40 runs in the third wicket stand before Johnson was (20) was caught by Ariful Haque off Mohammad Imran when Comilla’s score was 87 for the loss of three wickets.
After Johnson’s departure, Rizwan and Khushdil Shah built a worthy partnership putting together 84 runs in the four-wicket stand before Khushdil was trapped leg before wicket by Soumya Sarkar when Comilla’s total 171 for the loss of four wickets.
Khushdil hammered a hurricane 64. His 24-ball innings was laced with five sixes and seven fours. Khushdil fulfilled his half-century using 18 balls with four fours and five sixes. It was the quickest fifty in this year’s BPL Cricket. Khushdil was adjudged the Man of the Match for his terrific innings.
Rizwan remained unbeaten with 55 runs. His 47-ball knock had three sixes and one four.
Kayes hit a fine 33. His 26-ball innings saw two sixes and three fours.
Soumya Sarkar, Nasir Hossain, Taskin Ahmed and Mohammad Imran took one wicket each conceding 8, 16, 26 and 32 runs respectively.
Later, Nasir Hossain and Mohammad Mithun fought back against the tight, controlled and superb bowling attack of Comilla Victorians.
Nasir Hossain remained unbeaten with 66 runs. His 45-ball innings was laced with seven fours and two sixes.
Mohammad Mithun hit a respectable 36. His 34-ball knock was decorated with three fours and a sixer.
Tanvir Islam, Mosaddek Hossain and Hasan Ali took one wicket each for 12, 15 and 44 runs respectively.
