Chief Justice (CJ) Hasan Foez Siddique has given 11-point instructions to ensure the security of all the lower courts and tribunals across the country as he is deeply concerned about the security of all the courts and tribunals.
Munshi Md Moshiar Rahman, Registrar of the High Court division of the Supreme Court, issued a notification on Monday to this effect under the instruction of the Chief Justice.
“The Supreme Court had previously instructed all concerned to take necessary steps to ensure the overall security of every court in the country.
Record files of the suits in subordinate civil courts contain various important documents including original documents of the litigants. If these documents in the custody
of the court are stolen and destroyed, the image of the judiciary will be damaged,” read the notification.
The notification asked the authorities concerned to consolidate the boundary walls of the courts and judges’ complexes. It also asked the installation of CCTV in courtrooms, court areas, every gate and outside of the courts and tribunals.
