Blankets distributed among cold-hits in district

During the distribution of blankets among the cold people of Atghoria, MP Alhaj Nuruzzaman Biswas said that Awami League is determined to fight all conspiracies and promote freedom and will come again in the next elections. These blankets were distributed in the Atghoria municipal square on Tuesday afternoon.
2,500 blankets were handed over to the President, General Secretary of 5 unions, all unions and wards of 1 municipality and leaders of organizations and allied organizations to distribute winter clothes among the helpless and destitute people of Atghoria.
Atghoria Upazila Awami League President and Municipal Mayor Shahidul Islam Ratan, General Secretary Mohaimin Islam Chanchal, Police Station Officer-in-Charge Anwar Hossain, Jubo League Leader Tauhiduzzaman Dolan Biswas, Municipal Awami League Joint Convenor Zahidul Islam Mukul, Salimpur Union Awami League General Secretary Naik Abdul Quader, Awami Leader Korban Ali Malitha, Ishwardi Upazila Volunteer League Convenor Masud Rana, Joint Convenor Shariful Islam Sharif, Chhatra League President Mallik Md Tanmoy were present on the occasion.
Madhukhali (Faridpur) Correspondent reports: Blankets and sheets were distributed among the needy in different places in Madhukhali Public Library premises with the financial support of prominent social worker Jahanara Begum on Thursday. Journalist Shah Md Faruk Hossain was present and distributed blankets and sheets among coolies of Madhukhali market.

C’nawabganj Correspondent adds: 53 Battalion of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) distributed 500 blankets and provided free treatment to 300 destitute people at frontier Dasrashia village under Panka union of Shibganj upazila in Chapainawabganj district on Wednesday.
Commanding Officer (CO) of the battalion Lieutenant Colonel Md. Nahid Hossain conducted the programmes.
Besides, Deputy Commanding Officer of the battalion Major Shahed Ahmed, Assistant Director Mohammad Shahjahan, Medical Officer Dr. Fuad Kabir, other BGB members and local public representatives were along with him, BGB sources said.
