Kidnapped teacher in Lalmonirhat rescued

5 days after the abduction of Md. Nurul Amin, Headteacher of primary school from Aditmari upazila of Lalmonirhat was rescued by the law enforcement force (DB) and 2 accused involved in the abduction were arrested.
In this regard, the district police said in a press conference that on January 6, at approximately 06.30 am, the headmaster of Padolapara Government Primary School, Md. Nurul Amin, was abducted in the identity of the law and order forces (DB).
On that day, around 06.30 am, unknown 12/13 people came in front of their house in a black microbus and a white private car. One of them entered the house by climbing the wall of the main door and opened the door. When the others outside entered the house and identified themselves as DB police, they first entered the house of the victim’s brother Md. Ruhul Amin and started dragging him. Then when the victim Nurul Amin came out of the house, the unidentified persons released Ruhul and grabbed the victim Nurul Amin and dragged him away while waving the chang.
When the victim’s wife Mahfuza Begum, brother Ruhul Amin and others who were present in the house asked about their identity, they said that they were SP office people. At that time the victim’s brother Md. Ruhul Amin (40) and uncle Md. Abu Taleb (70), son of the victim wanted to see the police ID card of unknown persons and when they asked the reason for taking the victim, they did not say anything and beat up the victim’s uncle Abu Taleb and brother Ruhul. Amin was seriously injured: The victim was forced into a car and abducted towards Lalmonirhat via Aditmari.
In this regard, when the victim’s son filed a complaint with Aditmari Police Station, Aditmari Police Station Case No-08, Tang07/01/2023, Section-143/448/323/324/325/326/365/170 Penal Code, 1860 was filed. If the case is established, the Aditmari Police Station conducts a massive operation to rescue the victim.
Under the direction of Superintendent of Police of Lalmonirhat district and with the assistance of Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Atiqul Haque, a team of Aditmari Thana Police, formed by the Superintendent of Police and Additional Superintendent of Police, identified the location of the victim and the accused on January 11 at approximately 03.30 hours. Led by Aditmari, a raid was conducted in Tejgaon police station area of Dhaka and the victim was rescued and Md. Abdul Bari (43), father- Md. Mojibur Rahman, Sang-Bholar neighborhood Belua Bazar, police station- Gopalpur, district- Tangail and Md. Shafiul Alam, father- Md. were involved in the kidnapping. Siddiqur Rahman, Village- Bhongi, UP- Narandia, Thana- Purbadhala, District- Netrakona arrested 02 accused.
The Superintendent of Police said that initially it is believed that there may be previous money transactions between the victim and the abductors. The real mystery of the incident and the real reason behind the abduction are continuing subject to further investigation.
