Housewife’s hanging body found in capital

A housewife reportedly committed suicide by hanging herself in Jatrabari of the capital. The deceased has been identified as Nazmin Akter (18)
The incident took place in Shanir Akhara area of Jatrabari on Thursday noon (January 5).
After the incident, she was rescued and rushed to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College & Hospital (DMH). But the doctor on duty declared her dead.
The deceased’s husband, Naeem Islam, told the media, “My wife hanged herself on the sixth floor of the house because she was huffed with her mother.” Later, her relatives rescued her and took to DMCH where the doctor on duty declared her dead. I still do not know what my wife was huffed of with
her mother-in-law, Naeem Islam said.
Bachchu Mia, Inspector-in-Charge of DMCH Police Camp, told the media that the body has been kept in the hospital’s emergency department morgue. The matter has been informed to Jatrabari police station.
