Flights delayed due to dense fog in HSIA

Several flights have been delayed and some are diverted due to dense fog at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) for fourth consecutive day on Wednesday, officials said.
“At least one international flight was diverted and seven others were delayed due to heavy fog,” Group Captain Kamrul Islam, Executive Director at the airport, told journalists.
The Executive Director said a flight of Saudia from Riyadh was diverted to neighboring India’s Hyderabad International Airport as the dense fog made poor visibility at HSIA.
He said that the flights of seven airlines — Air Arabia, Fly Dubai, Qatar Airways, Oman Air, Jazeera Airlines, IndiGo Airlines, and US-Bangla Airlines were delayed for several hours due to dense fog.
