Farmers suffer as Faridpur Sugar Mills has been shut season

Faridpur Sugar Mill, a heavy industrial enterprise located in Madhukhali Upazila in Faridpur has been shut down within 72 hours of the current 2022-23 threshing season due to mechanical failure.
The current sugarcane crushing season was auspiciously inaugurated on December 23 by crushing 50 thousand 30 metric tons of sugarcane, setting a target of 3 thousand 10 metric tons of sugar production within 50 days.
 After 72 hours of inauguration, the Akhmarai of the sugar mill was closed from 7 am on Tuesday. Hundreds of sugarcane growers have been bringing their sugarcane to the sugar mill for two days today. Weight is also not taken. Sugarcane growers are blaming the inefficiency of the mill administration for the mill ban. Thousands of maunds of sugarcane are lying in the yard in front of the sugar factory. Apart from this, hundreds of cars of farmers are lined up in front of the sugarcane millgate for two days in which the sugarcane is drying.
In this regard, Md. President of Milgate Akhchashi Welfare Organization. Safiqul Islam Khan said that due to the inefficiency of the administration, the Akhmarai of the mill was closed for two days. Farmers are suffering from this. The administration says the broiler has a mechanical fault. Broiler pipe leaking due to leak. He said if the mill does not start, I have offered to weigh the sugarcane of the farmers and leave it in the yard.
Chief Minister (Agriculture) Md. Anisuzzaman said that the mill is closed due to a mechanical fault i.e. the tube burst in the broiler. The work is in progress and sugarcane crushing may begin during the night.
Factory manager Kalyan Kumar Devdas said, I joined this company in a short time. Our DCME Raju Ahmed informed me that the mill was closed due to bursting of very old broiler tubes, due to corona it was not possible to collect the tubes. Repairs are underway, may be available overnight.
The management of the sugar mill is the agriculturist. Khabir Uddin Molya said that the mill was closed due to mechanical failure. This happened because the broiler tube was leaking. Work is in progress, hope to open in the evening.
