3 thieves arrested with machinery goods

Some 3 thieves were arrested along with machinery goods stolen from foreign commercial ships and some home made arms from Joymonir Thota area of the river Pashur of Mongla Port under Mongla Upazla in Bagerhat district on Friday by a contingent of the coastguards of the Western Zone deployed Mongla.
The seized goods and the arrested thieves were handed over to the police of Mongla PS by the coastguard on Friday evening. After lodging a case with the PS the arrested thieves were sent to Bagerhat Jail hajat through the court. It was disclosed by Mohammad Monirul Islam, Officer-in-charge of Mongla PS,
 Lt. Commander Shaikh Mejbah Uddin Ahmed, Operation Officer of the headquarters (Mongla) of the coastguards of the Western Zone disclosed, acting on secret information a contingent of the coastguards conducted a raid in Sundarbans, adjacent to Joymonir Thota of Mongla Pashur River on Friday noon.
At that time they found a trawler in suspicious movement and halted it. Then the coastguards searched it and recovered 22 boxes of Golden Bridge Welding materials, 9 pieces of material fans lobar, 10 joint pushes, cash Tk.1 lakh32 thousand 1 hundred 60, foil papers for taking Yaba drug and different kinds of home made arms from it (trawler). The coastguards also seized the trawler with 2 cylinders. The arrested thieves are Md. Al-Amin (34), Md. Ashik (32) and Md. Arif (30). The seized trawler, machinery materials and the arrested.
