7 Jamaat -Shibir arrested in Kishoreganj

The Police have arrested at least seven leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh and Islami Chhatra Shibir, the party’s student wing, on Saturday from Kishoreganj town for militancy, sabotage.
They brought out a mass procession at Bara Bazar (Moragmohal ) in Kishoreganj town on Saturday morning at 8.15 am and police arrested them.
The arrested men are Principal Maulana Azizul Haque (62), Senior Nayebe Ameer in Kishoreganj district, Omar Farooq (31), Abu Sayed (32), Moulvi Earshaduddin (36), Tajul Islam (40), Chhatra Shibir leader Nurul Islam Babul (22) and Shibir activist Habibur Rahman.
Confirming the matter to The New Nation, Kishoreganj Sadar Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Dhaud said, “Acting on a tip-off, we arrested the Jamaat-Shibir men and seized leaflets.
