KKR picks Shakib, Litton

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has picked ace all -rounder Shakib Al Hasan and wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das of Bangladesh for the forthcoming Indian Premier League (IPL). The players’ auction was held at Kochi in India on Friday.
Both the players were unsold in the first call. Shakib’s base price was Indian Rupees 1.5 crore while his compatriot Litton Das’s base price was Indian Rupees 50lakh. The two Bangladesh cricketers were included in the KKR squad in the second call.
Shakib played in the IPL, the biggest franchise-based tournament several times, while Litton Das will play in the IPL for the first time. Shakib was the member of KKR when KKR won IPL trophy in 2012 and 2014 respectively.
Pacer Taskin Ahmed remained unsold in the
first call during the auction. The right-arm pacer’s base price was RS 50 lakh. Afif Hossain was the other Bangladeshi player listed in the final auction list.
