Poacher held, 36 kgs venison recovered

One poacher named Azizul was arrested along with 36 kgs venison by the members of the coastguards from Baniashanta Bazar, adjacent to Sundarbans and near at Mongla Sea Port at Monday night. It was disclosed on Tuesday noon by Lt.
Commander Abdur Rahman, Media Officer of the Headquarters of the coastguards of the Western Zone deployed Mongla. The officer added, acting on secret information a skilled contingent of the coastguards (of the Western Zone) conducted a raid in Baniashanta Bazar at Monday night at abut 10 pm and found a motor biker in suspicious movement. The coastguards asked him to stop.
But the biker defying the order tried to flee away. The coastguards chased him and arrested him. Then the coastguards searched him and his bike and seized 36 kgs venison from the bag. The arrested Azizul hails from the village Amtala under Dakop Upazila in Khulna district. Later the seized venison and the arrestee were handed over to Dhyangmari Forest Office for taking legal action.
