Reception accords to FFs in Kishoreganj

Around valiant freedom fighters (FFs), including 36 police personnel, were accorded reception as recognition to the laudable and heroic role towards the Great War of Liberation of the country.
 The District Police in Kishoreganj organised the reception ceremony at the police lines auditorium on sunday to mark the 52 nd Victory Day.
Additional Police Commissioner (DIG) in DMP’s DB Haroon ur Rashid PPM (Bar), BPM (Bar) attended as the chief guest and Deputy Commissioner (DC) in Kishoreganj Md.Abul kalam Azad, Zila Parishad chairman Freedom fighter advocate Zillur Rahman and Awami League( AL ) district general secretary advocate Freedom Fighter Advocate M.A Afzol were special guests, while Police Super Mohammad Rasel Sheikh PPM (Bar) in the chair.
It was addressed among others by Special Police Super( SP) Syed Md. Farhad, Additional SP (Admin &Finance) Mustaque Sarker, Retired SP Freedom Fighters Md. Giasuddin Freedom Fighters In Kishoreganj ex.unit commondor Md. Asadullah, Writer Jahangir Alam Jahan, Senior Journalist Saiful Haque Mollah Dulu, Mohila Awami League( AL) district secretary Bilkis Begum and Chatra League district president Sumon Mollah.
 DMP’s. DB Chief (DIG) Haroon ur Rashid. BPM (Bar), PPM said the country people would never forget the sacrifice of police during the War of Liberation.
He. also said police personnel had built armed resistance against the first attack of the Pakistani military at the starting stage of the war. On March 26 in 1971, hundreds of policemen became martyred in Dhaka, Haroon added.
They distributed crests and girls among the freedom fighters police men and other civilians on the occasion.
Later, a cultural function held at local police lines auditorium.
