Family Welfare Service Week observed

The Mother and Child Welfare Center has celebrated the Week of Family Welfare Service and Promotion on Saturday. Dr. Ramzan Ali, Superintendent of 250-bed Lalmonirhat Sadar Hospital was present there. The function was presided over by Dr. Harunor Rashid, Deputy Director of Family Planning Department. Guerrilla leader SM Shafiqul Islam was the invited guest. Family Planning Department Assistant Director Sheikh Shahiduzzaman, Sadar Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Dipangkar Roy, District Consult Dr. Shamchul Alam, Mother and Child Welfare Center Medical Officer Dr. Nishat Un Nahar and Sadar Upazila Family Planning Officer Golam Nabi Chowdhury spoke. etc. At that time, family planning department inspector, FWA, FWV and other service recipients were present.

Meet of Secondary Teachers Association

An annual general meeting of Baraigram Upazila Secondary Teachers Employees Welfare Association of Natore was held on Saturday. Wasek Ali Sonar, President of the Association presided over the meeting at Gopalpur High School of the upazila. Upazila Secondary Education Officer Abdur Rauf spoke as the Chief Guest. Former Headmaster Abdul Bari Majumdar, General Secretary of the association Headmaster Mahbubur Rahman, Headmaster Shamsur Rahman Shaheen, Assistant Headmaster Nazrul Islam, assistant teacher Anup Kumar and third class employee Abed Ali spoke in the meeting. Annual report was presented along with presentation of income and expenditure account. Later, the guests handed over checks of 4 lakh 70 thousand 595 taka including savings and profits to 16 teachers who died and retired in 2022 from the funds of the association. About seven hundred teachers and staff of 42 schools of the upazila participated in the meeting.
