Victory Day observed in districts

The 51st Great Victory Day was celebrated in Madhukhali, Sarishabari, Chattogram and Kishoreganj like all over the country on December 16, with various programs.
Madhukhali (Faridpur) Correspondent adds, the day’s program began with a 31-gun salute at 6.34am on Friday, December 16. General Secretary of Upazila Awami League hoisted the national and party flags in front of the Awami League party office at Madhukhali railway gate. Upazila leaders of Awami League under the leadership of Rezaul Haque Baku.
At 8:30 am Upazila Parishad and Administration, Madhukhali Municipality, Upazila Awami League and its Organisation, Freedom Fighters Command Council, Upazila Health Complex, Madhukhali Police Station, Members of Parliament delegation, Government Ainuddin College, Akhchashi Mahila Degree College and Madukhali Pilot High School, various educational institutions including Father of the Nation. Bangabandhu paid tribute to Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing floral wreaths on his mural. A 1-minute silence was observed and prayers were offered to honor the memory of the martyred freedom fighters. After the tributes at the Bangabandhu Mural, the administration paid tributes at the Freedom Fighters Memorial. Upazila Executive Officer organized by the Upazila Administration in the field of Madhukhali Pilot High School. Under the chairmanship of Ashir Rahman Chowdhury, various programs of the Great Victory Day were inaugurated as the chief guest by Faridpur-1 Constituency Member of Parliament Md. Manjur Hossain Bulbul.
Sarishabari Correspondent, like whole the country, the day is celebrated in Sarishabari with due dignity. A parade organised by Upazila administration was organised at sarishabari Honor’s college ground.
Students of various educational institutions participated in the parade and displayed their physical skills to attract the attention of the audience. Upazila executive officer Upama Farisa presided over the event.
Municipal Mayor Monir uddin, Upazila Muktijuddha sangsad commander Mofazzal Hossen, Officer in charge Mohabbat Kabir, Upazila chairman FF’s Gias Uddin Pathan and many others were present there. Former Minister of state for information and broadcasting Dr Murad Hassan MP was present as the chief guest.later , prizes were distributed among the winners.
Chattogram Bureau adds: Divisional Commissioner Md. Ashraf Uddin said, in the historical speech of the Father of the Nation on March 7, the loud voice echoed “this time’s struggle is the struggle for freedom, this time’s struggle is the struggle for freedom”. Motivated by this speech, the Bengali nation jumped into the war and won the victory. He said these things during the official hoisting ceremony of the national flag at MA Aziz Stadium in the city on Friday (December 16) morning. He also said that Bangladesh has already transformed from a low-income country to a developing country. Beyond the world Bangabandhu satellite is carrying the flag of Bangladesh in space. Bangabandhu Tunnel built under Karnaphuli is playing a major supporting role in the economic development of the country. Bangabandhu Shilpanagar, the country’s largest industrial park, has been built on 30,000 acres of land in Mirsrai, Chittagong. At this juncture on the occasion of the Great Victory Day, our firm commitment is to transform Bangladesh into a happy and prosperous country within the Vision 2041 of People’s Leader Sheikh Hasina.
 Later he visited the parade and took salute at the parade. Bangladesh Police, Ansar, Prison Guards, Railway Security Force, Fire Service, Gram Raksha Bahini, Marine Fisheries Academy, BNCC, Scouts, Youth Red Crescent and various schools, colleges and madrassas participated in the colorful parade. Chittagong Divisional Commissioner also took part in a reception ceremony of brave freedom fighters and martyr family members at Chittagong District Art Academy premises. At that time, he said that under the directives of the Prime Minister, no one will be homeless and landless in the Mujib year, house and land are being provided to the homeless and landless families. 48 thousand 814 landless and homeless families have been identified in Chittagong division and houses will be constructed for all of them by the government.
Sr. Staff Reporter, Kishoreganj adds, the nation celebrates 52 nd Victory day on Friday commemoration the Freedom Fighters, the most precious day when the country liberated at the cost of supreme sacrifice of three million martyrs and the honour of nearly half a million mothers and sisters ; with a renewed pledge to build the country as “Sonar Bangla” as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
In Kishoreganj, District administration, District Police, Zila Parishad, ruling Awami League( AL). BNP, JASOD, Ganatantree Party, CPB, BASOD, Workers Party and different socio-cultural and political organizations and educational institutions chalked out various programmes highlighting the significance of the day. A discussion meeting and reception to the local freedom fighters and family members of martyred freedom fighters at local Art Council Auditorium in the town, while DC Md. Abdul Kamal Azad in the chair. Police Super ( SP) Mohammad Rasel Sheikh PMM (Bar), Zila Parishad chairman Freedom Fighters Advocate Zillur Rahman were special guests.
