Fardin’s classmates at the DB office

Stff Reporter :
Students of Bangladesh University of Engineering Technology (BUET) went to the Detective Branch (DB) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Mintu Road to know details of the causes of death of their fellow Fardin Nur Parash on Thursday morning.
On Thursday (December 15) morning, a delegation team of 40 students from the university went to the DB police in order to meet the chief of the force.
Faroq Hossain, Deputy Commissioner (DC) and also head of DMP media wing, told the media that a delegation from BUET has come to meet the DB chief. Details will be given later.
In this regards, Farden’s classmates say that they came to meet the DB chief to know how and why Farden committed suicide. They believe that Fardin cannot commit suicide.
Meanwhile, the victim’s father, Kazi Noruddin Rana, said that what they are saying is unbelievable. I have not seen the exact picture of Farden jumping from the bridge. They (DB) have to confirm the evidence that my son Farden jumped from the bridge.
Rather, he claimed his son was killed in a planned way and now a suicide drama is being staged over his death.
Expressing his discontent over the investigation, Kazi Nuruddin said, “My son grew up in poverty since childhood and coped with all situations, my son cannot commit suicide.”
It is to be noted that last November the naval police recovered Farden’s body from Shitalakshya river. On this news, his family went to the spot and identified Fardin. When the body was taken to the hospital for post-mortem, duty doctor marked it murder as there were several injury marks in his body.
Three days after the incident, the victim’s father, Kazi Noruddin filed a case with the Rampura Police Station, accusing the victim’s girlfriend, Bushra, and some unknown persons as defendants.
Meanwhile, the case has been handed over to DB of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police to complete the investigation in a fair and speedy manner.
However, DB officials also said that victim girlfriend Amatul Bushra has no involvement in the death of Parash. The matter will be mentioned in the charge sheet of the case, DB officials added.
