Digital Bangladesh Day observed

The Digital Bangladesh Day was observed in Kishoreganj on Monday. District Administration in Kishoreganj including Information and Communication Technology Division have brought out a rally, discussion meeting,, Crest and certificate distribution marking the day.

DC in Kishoreganj Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad attended as chief guest while ADC(Edu.& Ict) Farzana Khanam presided over.
Police Super( SP) Mohammad Rasel Sheikh PPM (Bar), Zila Parishad chairman Advocate Zillur Rahman, District Awami League general secretary advocate M A Afzal and Mayor Pervez Miah were special guests.
It was addressed among others by, Dr.Mahabur Rahman of Civil Surgeon, District Press Club President Mostafa Kamal and Mohila Awami League district secretary Bilkis Begum. The district level officials , Senior journalists including CAB district president Alam Sarowar Tito were also present. DC Abul Kalam Azad said, the government is working to transform the country into “Smart Bangladesh” from a digital one by 2041.
“We will build Bangladesh as a developed and prosperous country by 2041. SP Mohammad Rasel Sheikh PMM (Bar) said that, the government is working to successfully implement the four bases of building “Smart Bangladesh” that included making smart citizens, smart economy, smart government and smart society.
In the Smart Bangladesh, everything will be done through technology where the citizens will be efficient in using technology and the entire economy will be run through technology, SP in Kishoreganj added.
BSS from Bhola adds: The Digital Bangladesh Day was observed on Monday in the district as elsewhere in the country with a call to educate the people on ICT-based services to build Smart Bangladesh.
Marking the day, district administration chalked out the elaborate programmes in cooperation with the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division of the government.
On the occasion, a colourful rally was brought out from the premise of the deputy commissioner’s office that paraded the important streets in the morning.
Earlier, different departments of the DC office paid tribute by placing wreaths at the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md Taufiq-e-Lahi Chowdhury addressed the function as the chief guest with Additional District Magistrate Ripon Kumar Saha in the chair. Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Asaduzzaman, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Tauhidul Islam, District Secondary Education Officer Madhav Chandra Das, District Information Officer Md. Nurul Amin, and District ICT Officer Md. Arifur Rahman, among others, spoke.
