BNP Nayapaltan office reopens after 4 days of police raid

Bangladesh Nationalist Party’s central office at Naya Paltan in Dhaka was freed on Sunday noon four days after closure following police raid at the office.
The office has been reopened a day after holding the party’s Dhaka divisional rally on December 10 in the capital.
Entering the office BNP leaders said they are shocked seeing the furniture and other things vandalized.
“We saw that violence swept the office. Everything is vandalized on every floor of the office. We are shocked to see these,” BNP Organising Secretary and acting Office Secretary Syed Emran Saleh Prince told journalists after entering the office at the noon.
Several BNP leaders led by Emran Saleh Prince went to the office at about 1:00pm.
They were accompanied with some lawyers and journalists during entering the office.
The party leaders said that they have inspected the whole office and found almost everything there is vandalized including its chairs, glasses and others.
Emran Saleh Prince said, “The police vandalized the furniture and valuables of the office. They also seized the office computers and several others equipment.”
