Shepherd Industries Limited becomes Shepherd Industries PLC

Shepherd Industries Limited has decided to change its name to Shepherd Industries PLC.
The board of directors has decided to place an agenda, among others, as a special business resolution to this effect for approval of shareholders at the 21st annual general meeting on December 27, said the textile company in a filing on the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Sunday
The use of the PLC (public limited company) abbreviation after the name of a company communicates to investors and to anyone dealing with the company that it is a publicly traded corporation
Upon issuance of a Certificate of Incorporation by the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms in the new name, the old name will be replaced by Shepherd Industries PLC in all statutory documents, licences and other documents, said Shepherd Industries Limited in a filing on the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Sunday.
Shepherd Industries Ltd specialises in fancy yarn, yarn-dyeing, garment dyeing, garment washing, jean washing, auto stripe knitting fabrics and knitting fabrics.
