16th annual drama festival at DU

The 16th edition of annual drama festival titled ‘Dhaka University Central Annual Drama Festival-2022’ started on Thursday on the university campus.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the festival.
This eight-day long festival, organized by the Theatre and Performance Studies Department of the university, will be continued till December 8 each day from 6.30pm at the Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) auditorium of the university.
A total of 16 dramas will be staged at the festival. Of them 15 dramas directed by honors’ courses different year students and another one directed by teachers of the department.
DU Pro-vice Chancellor AKM Maksud Kamal was present on the occasion as special guest, while the Chairman of the department Md Ashiqur Rahman presided over the programme.
Besides, the department also provided special honor to eminent actor Asaduzzaman Noor.
