DU holds colorful ‘Bijoy’ rally

Dhaka University (DU) administration brought out a colourful Bijoy rally on Tuesday marking the Victory Day celebration on its campus.
DU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the rally in front of Aparajeyo Bangla releasing balloons and pigeons. It ended at Swadhinata Chattar of historic Suhrawardy Udyan.
Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof Muhammad Samad, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof AKM Maksud Kamal and teachers, students and employees from different Halls and Faculties also attended at the rally.
Besides, Music Department of the university also organized National Anthem and Patriotic song programme at the Swadhinata Chattar.
“Consciousness, non-communal, democratic and humanitarian values and sprit of liberation war must be spread among the new generation and its must be kept alive among them,” DU Vice-Chancellor said.
