Ten students of Barishal Agricultural Training Institute transferred allegedly

Ten students of Barishal Agricultural Training Institute has been transferred to nine institutes of country allegedly protesting against principal of the institute.
Bangladesh Technical Education Board Director (Curriculum) Engineer Farid Uddin Ahmed has been confirmed the matter through a notice on 24th November.
In the notice mentioning the names of 10 transferred students of the institution said from 26 November they must be released from current institution. This is punitive measure because the students have tarnished the image of the government and the institution.
Among them Siam Sardar transferred to Rangpur, Ariful Islam to Gaibandha, Md. Ibrahim to Jhenaidah, Zahid Hasan to Brahmanbaria, Jabedur Rahman Mahi to Sylhet, Tasneem Jahan Shehtaz to Cumilla, Nazmul Hasan to Jhenaidah, Maria Tun Eva to Sherpur, Mozammel Haque to Gazipur and Sajib Mistry to Rangamati, have already been released from Rahmatpur Agricultural Training Institute at Barishal.
Student Siam Sardar said when we started movement against irregularities and corruption of acting Principal Muhammad Ali Jinnah and demanded his removal. At one stage the other house officials of the institute and local UNO came and assured us to consider our demands and we postponed our movement.
After that, 8 November 3-member investigation was formed to find out irregularities of the principal by Directorate of Agricultural Extension Training Officer. But suddenly we, who led the movement, have been transferred unethically, before completing investigation of irregularities and corruption of the principal.
Even the letter was signed on November 21, but we have come to know the 24th date and authourity asked us to join in other institutions on 26th November, the victims claimed.
On other hand Acting Principal Mohammad Ali Jinnah said, concerned ministry took the decision of punitive action and we know nothing about that.
The head of the investigation committee principal of Dhaka Agricultural Training Institute Maqbool Ahmed said, I cannot talk on the phone about this. The students have been transferred according to the decision given by authorities of the concerned directorate.
Fazlul Haque, additional director of Directorate of Agricultural Extension, Barishal, said, we have not given any decision regarding the transfer of students. DG office will be able to tell you better about this.
Shahidul Islam, Staff officer of the Director (Training) and General Manager of Khamarbari Dhaka in this regard told that there is a movement in Barishal. The students breaking institutional discipline damaged government properties, blocked highway created chaos. So Board of Technical Education decided to take disciplinary action by transferring students.
Barishal Directorate of Agricultural Extension District Training Officer and member of the investigation committee Mosammat Maryam told journalists said they have not given any decision regarding the transfer of students. Higher authorities may know about the matter. But not only have the students, two deputy assistant directors of the institute also also been transferred.
