Ctg Customs install 4 scanners

Modern and powerful 4 scanner machines are installed in Chattogram Custom House to prevent smuggling. Nachtac will supply the machines through open tender under the National Board of Revenue (NBR). Not only Chittagong, one of the biggest land route Benapole Custom House and Bhomra Custom House in Satkhira will have a scanner machine.
It will cost the government 327 crore rupees. It is known that 80 percent of the total import duty is collected through these three custom houses. Most of this is collected from Chittagong Custom House.
According to NBR sources, the state-of-the-art scanner machines are being installed as part of the government’s initiatives to modernize the Bangladesh Customs Department.
Sources say that there are currently 10 scanner machines in various custom houses of the country.
