Modhumita Cinema Hall temporarily closed

Dhaka’s one of the oldest cinema halls, Modhumita is being temporarily closed from November 18,
said a press release.
Iftekhar Uddin Noushad, owner of Modhumita Cinema Hall, said, “The football World Cup is going on. During this time, newly released films will not be performing well,
as people will be busy watching the World Cup. That is why, during this time, I will be doing renovations on my cinema hall, both internally and externally. So, I have decided to shut the hall down temporarily.
The cinema hall will remain closed till January of next year. Afterwards,
it will reopen again.”
