Bodies of 2 brothers found in abandoned Dinajpur school

Police recovered the bodies of two brothers from an abandoned room of Bhawanipur Government Primary School in Birol upazila of Dinajpur on Friday morning.
The deceased are Rimon, 7, and Imran, 3, sons of Shariful Islam of village Shankarpur Ghorani of Biral municipality.
Locals informed the police after seeing the bodies lying in the abandoned room of the school. At that time, a bottle of poison was found lying outside the room.
Police filed a report on the condition of the body. Preparations were underway to send it to the hospital for post-mortem.
The grandmother of the deceased said: “Since Thursday evening, my son and two grandsons could not be found. This morning my son called and said that if I want to see my grandchildren I should go to the school. Later, I went there and saw the bodies of my grandsons.”
Confirming the matter, Birol police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Fakhrul Islam said that the father of the two murdered children could not be found. The police are investigating the matter.
Meanwhile, their father Shariful Islam, a resident of Shankarpur area of Biral municipality, has been missing, the OC said.
In the morning, locals got suspicious after seeing a sack in the abandoned building of the school. On information, police went to the spot and found the bodies, OC Reza added.
Earlier, Biral police station officer-in-charge Rezaul Hasan said that they, on information from the national emergency helpline number 999, recovered the bodies of the two minor siblings from the spot.
He said that they could not trace out the father of the deceased ones.
The police officer said that they assumed that the children were killed as a sequel of their family feud.
Officials at the police station, referring to the villagers, said that the deceased children’s father Shariful, a farmer by profession, used to lock in quarrel with his wife who left the house months ago and sent divorce notice in the past week.
 They said that Shariful left home with his two sons on Thursday evening and did not return home until Friday afternoon.
