Thai AirAsia launched Dhaka-Bangkok flight

Thai AirAsia, a subsidiary of Malaysia-based AirAsia Aviation Group, launched its inaugural flight between Dhaka and Bangkok on Friday. Tas Aviation Director Kazi Shah Muzakker Ahmadul Haque and Regional Commercial Head Manoj Dharmani gave this information at a press conference held at Sonargaon Hotel in the capital on Friday morning.
The inaugural flight departed from Bangkok’s Don Mueang Airport (DMK) and landed at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 12:05 a.m. local time.
Several distinguished passengers including Thai AirAsia officials were on board the incoming flight. Santisuk Klongchaia, CEO of Thai AirAsia, Tansita Akararittipiram, Regional Commercial Head, Chanita Sriprasart, Product Manager, Nuttaut Jeethardharan, Public Relations Manager, Thai AirAsia. Phuengvit Suvarnanetra, and Thai AirAsia Government Relations Manager, Tada Chaonapunja. In addition, the delegation on the inaugural flight included senior executives from Thai AirAsia Corporate Communications.
Thai AirAsia GSA, Chairman of TAS Aviation Limited KM Mojibul Haque, Sheikh Mamunul Haque, Vice-Chairman Morsedul Alam Chakladar, Managing Top Level Management Team welcomed the passengers and guests on the inaugural flight of Thai AirAsia with flowers and souvenirs. Director, Kazi Shah Muzakker Ahmaddul Haque, Director, Md. Atiqur Rahman Masood, Director, Eng. Anwar Abedin Manik, Director and other members of Tas Aviation Limited.
AirAsia, voted the world’s best low-cost airline for 13 consecutive years at the Skytrax Awards, has been operating fourteen weekly flights between Dhaka and Kuala Lumpur since 2015.
With the addition of Thai AirAsia flights, the group has added a new route for Bangladeshi passengers so they can avail AirAsia’s affordable and attractive fares with their vision “Now Everyone Can Fly”.
The airline will operate four weekly flights between Dhaka and Bangkok.
Afterwards, guests from Thai AirAsia and TAS Aviation gathered in the VIP lounge for a ribbon cutting and cake cutting ceremony to open the event.
