Case lodged against husband for killing second-wife

A case has been filed accusing 6-7 unknown people including husband BNP leader Milan Khan in the brutal murder of housewife Marufa Begum (35) on early Tuesday at Rakudia of Babuganj upazila under Barishal district.
Babuganj police station OC Mahbubur Rahman confirming report said Ayub Ali; father of the victim filed the murder case (no.02/11-22) at Babuganj police station as the plaintiff.
In the case Milan Khan, husband and union BNP leader, his divorced first wife Jhumur Begum and 6/7 unknown people have been accused of planned killing and cooperation.
Milan Khan’s divorced first wife Jhumur Begum has been taken into custody for interrogation and injured husband Milan Khan, who is undergoing treatment at Barishal Sher-e Bangla Hospital, is under police custody as the main accused.
It is to be noted that a group of miscreants breaking the lock of the collapsible gate of the house in Rakudiya village of the upazila at around 2 AM on early Tuesday.
The unidentified miscreants indiscriminately killed Marufa Begum, the housewife by hacking and slitting her throat and injured her husband Milon Khan by tying and chopping.
The family of Milon claimed Milan Khan was hacked and tied up and robbed of money and gold ornaments killing his second wife Maruafa Begum by the unknown miscreants.
Police after visiting the scene, suspected the matter to be a planned murder.
