One held with 585 Yaba tablets in Kurigram

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 in a drive arrested a man with 585 pieces of Yaba tablets from village Gangarhat in Phulbari upazila of Kurigram district on Friday night.
“On a tip off, an operational team of RAB-13 for its Rangpur battalion headquarters conducted the drive and arrested the man red-handed with the contraband Yaba tablets from the spot,” a press release said.
The elite force also seized two mobile phone sets and cash money from the possession of the arrested person.
The detainee was identified as Md. Nazmul Haque, 28, son of Ms. Abdul Hye of village Uttar Kuthi Chandrakhana in the same upazila of Kurigram district.
During preliminary interrogation, the detainee admitted his involvement in drug trading in connivance with his other cohorts for a long time.
