Materials for Bangbandhu Rly Bridge arrives at Mongla

A foreign ship named MV. Yung Shu carrying steel pipes and machinery materials weighing 3 thousand 5 hundred 3 tons for the under-construction Bangabandhu Rly Bridge over the river Jamuna arrived at Mongla Sea Port on Wednesday evening, according to a report received here. It is the 12th dispatch of the steel materials and other machineries for the Bridge. It was confirmed by the harbour department of Mongla Port Authorities.
 Md. Shawkat Ali, Manager of Haq & Sons, the local shipping agent of the ship Yung Shu told, the ship anchored with the buoy No.07 of the port on Wednesday evening and the unloading works of thematerials already started. After the completion of unloading works the steel pipes and other materials will be sent to the construction yard of Bangabandhu Rly Bridge over the river Jamuna in Srajganj by water vessels. Commodore Md. Wadud Tarafdar, in-charge of the Chairman of Mongla Port Authorities told, the foreign ship Yung Chu after loading the materials left the Sea Port Fume of Vietnam on November 09 for Mongla Sea Port.
