Old woman’s body found in Kapasia
The half-decomposed body of a sixty-five-year-old woman was recovered by police in Gazipur’s Kapasia after 5 days of disappearance on Tuesday afternoon. Local residents found the body of the old woman named Sahabuddin in a forest of Pewright village of Karihata union of the upazila and informed the police. The deceased’s son Manik went to the spot and identified his father’s body. According to family and police sources, Sahabuddin left home around 7 am last Friday and did not return. Manik, the son of the missing man, filed a missing diary (GD) at the police station on November 12 in this regard after searching various possible places. However, local residents said that the deceased Sahabuddin was mentally unbalanced. Kapasia Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) AFM Nasim said that as there was no complaint from the family, a case of wrongful death has been filed at the police station.
One person killed mysteriously
A man named Md. Mozammel Haque (50) was killed mysteriously late on Monday night in the village of Bhulesh of Rayed Union of Kapasia Upazila of Gazipur. At this time another youth named Md. Billal Hossain (30) was injured. Son of Md. Alauddin of village Bulesh of Rayed Union of Mozammel upazila and Billal Hossain is son of Md. Rafiqul Islam of the same village. The body has been sent to Gazipur Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital for post-mortem. Contradictory statements have been found in this incident. Rumors were rife in the area since Tuesday morning that the two men were seriously injured while loading ganjari trees in a vehicle belonging to an identified illegal ganjari wood dealer in Bhulesh area. Among them, Mozammel Haque died on the spot and Billal Hossain was rescued and admitted to Upazila Health Complex. Another party said that a pickup was fleeing with stolen cows from Baghia area of the upazila on Monday night.
`Isha Gold Cup football tournament’

The final match of ‘Isha Gold Cup Football Tournament was organized by Initiative for Social Advancement in Gazipur at Sharif Momtazuddin Ahmed Degree College Ground recently. Bangtaj’s daughter Simin Hossain Rimi MP, President of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Culture, was the chief guest at the game. President of Isha Tournament and Joint Director of Bangladesh Bank Gholam Mostafa Shravan presided over and under the direction of Sharif Shamim, General Secretary of Isha and Lecturer of Sharif Momtazuddin Ahmed Degree College, Kapasia Upazila Executive Officer AKM Golam Morshed Khan, Retired Principal of Sharif Momtazuddin Ahmed Degree College Md Taj were the special guests. Uddin, Getco Group Head of Finance Md Khurshid Naeem.
