The elite force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has made sensational progress in the murder case of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) student Fardin Noor Parsh.
Raihan gang, a top drug dealer, is involved with Fardin’s murder. Several people including Raihan have been kept under surveillance to unearth the motive of the murder. Raihan will be arrested anytime.
RAB on Monday night disclosed it to the media.
The RAB officer said: “We have not found any link with women nor drug involvement with Fardin murder. As per plan, Fardin was surrounded by the gang members and taken to Chanpara slum at gunpoint.”
The RAB official said: “Fardin’s house is three kilometers away from Chanpara slum. And Fardin did not go inside the slum. We think he was surrounded and taken inside from the main road. Then he was beaten to death.”
The involvement of Shaheen, who was killed in a gunfight in Narayanganj, has not been found in this incident so far.
Commander Khandaker Al Moin, director of RAB’s law and media wing, said: “We have done shadow investigation over the murder. There is progress in this regard. The details will be informed later.”
Police recovered Fardin’s body from the Shitalakhkhya River, behind a cotton mills at Siddhirganj, on November 7, three days after he went missing.
Fardin’s father Nur Uddin Rana filed a case with Rampura police station against Fardin’s friend named Bushra and some unidentified person early Thursday (November 10).
After the filing of the case, police arrested Bushra from Dhaka’s Banasree area in this connection. Bushra is a 3rd-year student of East West University.
