Anti-narcotics discussion meet held

In order to reduce the illegal use of drugs and drug-related crimes, a discussion meeting was held with teachers and students to create public awareness on drug prevention on Monday in collaboration with Lalmonirhat Youth Development Organization, the main negotiator was District Assistant Director of Narcotics Control Department, Khairul Bashar. The discussion meeting was held at Church of God High School, a traditional educational institution of the district city, organized by Drug Control Department. Head teacher Shahidar Rahman presided. Advisor of the organization Shahid Islam Sujan was the special guest, President of Lalmonirhat Youth Development Association Minhajul Islam Bappi and General Secretary Shamim Talukder were the guests.

Shahjalal Ideal International School and College, the only Bengali and English version educational institution of Kulaura Upazila has arranged at its annual parent’s gathering and prayer meeting on Sunday. Under the chairmanship of the best Upazila Chairman and of Sylhet Division and Principal AKM Shafi Ahmed Solman, In the programme organized under the management of Vice Principal Md. Zahirul Islam, Headmaster of Kulaura Girls High School and General Secretary of Upazila Secondary Teachers Association Md. Abdul Matin, Principal of Mohatochin ali High School and College Faizur Rahman Suruk, Principal of Chakapan High School and College Md. Salim Mia gave speeches as invited guests. The former vice-principal of the institution Md. Sirajul Islam. Senior teachers of the institute, Md. Waqif Khan and Sumna Begum, delivered the speech. Shahed Noor, Salek Ahmed, Dhirendra Mohan Das spoke among the parents.
