Russell Domingo returns to Dhaka

Head Coach of Bangladesh Cricket team Russell Domingo returned to Dhaka on Monday marking the upcoming Bangladesh and India series. Technical Consultant of Bangladesh Cricket team Sridharan Sriram and Batting Coach of Bangladesh National Cricket team Jamie Siddons were engaged of the task of Bangladesh Cricket team’s coaching and consulting during the ICC T20 World Cup, which concluded recently. After a long recess, Russell Domingo will again start his duty.
The coaching camp of Bangladesh Cricket team start next week under the supervision of Russell Domingo.
Earlier, Chairman of Cricket Operations Committee of the Bangladesh Cricket Board Jalal Yunus said, ” We shall decide who will take the charge of Bangladesh’s different series. Russell Domingo is already ready to coach Bangladesh Cricket team for the upcoming Bangladesh-India series. Later, we shall decide about the other coaching staff of Bangladesh.”
India Cricket team will arrive in Dhaka on December 1 to play three One Day International (ODI) matches and two Test matches against Bangladesh Cricket team. The two Test matches are the part of ICC World Test Championship.
Bangladesh will take on India in the first ODI at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in the city’s Mirpur on December 4, while Bangladesh will face India in the second ODI at the same venue on December 7 and Bangladesh will meet India in the third ODI at the same venue on December 10.
After completing the three-match ODI series, Bangladesh Cricket team and India Cricket team will go to Chattogram to play the first Test match. The first Test between Bangladesh and India will be held at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram from December 14 to December 18. Then, Bangladesh team and India team will return to Dhaka. The second Test will take place at the SBNCS from December 22 to December 26.
