2 drug peddlers held with 250 bottles of foreign liquor in Bhairab

The Police claimed to have arrested two drug peddlers of an organised gang with 246 bottles of foreign liquor from Bhairab port town in Kishoreganj on Thursday afternoon.
The arrestees have been identified as Md Mamon (50) , son of Eyakub Ali in Jakiganj upazila of Sylhet and Sharif (30) son of Rahmat in Jakiganj upazila of Sylhet.
Additional SP (Crime & Ops) Mohammad Nure Alam said, on information, Police conducted a drive in Bhairab port town on Dhaka -Sylhet highway and arrested their and also seized the huge foreign liquors from their possession.
Besides, a private car used in drug peddling was also seized in this connection, he added.
OC in Bhairab Police station Shah Alam Mollah said, a case was field in this connection with Bhairab model police station.
