2 children drowned in Morrelganj

Two children met their tragic end when they were drowned in two different ponds in the village Sonakhali within Putikhali Union Parishad under Morrelganj Upazila in Bagerhat district on Sunday noon.
 The children were Ramjan Shaikh (02 years), son of one Rasel Shaikh and Farjana Aktar (2.5 years), daughter of one Faruq Shikdar of the village.
Locals said that on the day at the noon when the children were not found in their respective houses their relatives searched hither and thither and at last they (children) were recovered unconscious from the different ponds. The unconscious children were rushed to Morrelganj Upazila Health Complex where the physician on duty declared them dead.
