The authority of the Olio Apparels Ltd, a sister concern of Envoy Group, paid all the due salaries and wages of the workers in face of labour unrest.
“We have paid all due salaries and wages at the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) complex on Sunday as per the labour law and the workers received their dues peacefully,” according to press release issued on Sunday,
Several hundred apparel workers have blocked Dhaka’s Arambag intersection recently, pressing their five-point demand including payment of their due salaries and wages.

Agitating workers blocked the Arambag intersection saying they will not leave the streets unless their demands are met.
