Question papers leaked from Biman MD’s room: DB

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Detective Branch Chief Mohammad Harun or Rashid said that recruitment exam question papers were leaked from the room of Zahid Hossain, Managing Director (MD) and CEO of Biman Bangladesh Airlines. His office assistant leaked the question papers and sent it to others.
 He said this at a press conference organised at DMP’s media center on Thursday (November 3).
DB chief said, 10 people have been already arrested in this incident. In the confessional statement given by 9 of them, it is known that the recruitment exam question papers were leaked from the MD’s room.
The general manager of administration was also in charge of preparing the question paper, he said.
10 arrested persons have been identified as Awlad Hossain, 21, Jahangir Alam, 36, Enamul Haque, 28, Harun-ur-Rashid, 40, Mahfuzul Haque, 31, Md Masud, 34, Zahid Hasan, 28, Samaju aka Sobhan, 30, Jabed Hossain, 28, and Zakir Hossain. Five of them have been suspended.
During the drives, police also recovered Tk 150,000 and 32 cheques from banks, 17 non-judicial stamps, three diaries, copies of the leaked questions and admittance cards from 54 candidates.
Earlier, an hour-long MCQ exam scheduled for Oct 21 was suspended after the authorities arrested five low-paid employees of the state-owned carrier over the leak. As many as 10 others were arrested in a case filed under the Digital Security Act with the airport police. Nine of them have testified in court.
