2 killed, 3 injured in Kapasia road accident

Two passengers were killed in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and a CNG in front of the Urun Madhyapara Jame Masjid near Miar Bazar of Targaon Union on Kapasia Tok Road in Gazipur on Wednesday afternoon. At this time, three other passengers were injured. They were rescued and admitted to the hospital.
It is known that on Wednesday afternoon, a passenger bus of Uzanbhati Paribahan (Dhaka Metro-B-120142) bound for Kishoreganj from Dhaka and a CNG (Kishorganj-TH-11-3050) bound for Rajendrapur intersection from Kishoreganj collided head-on. Meanwhile, the CNG fell on the side of the road and went up in smoke. CNG autorickshaw passenger Abul Kashem (68) was killed on the spot. He is the son of Md. Safiullah of Gazipur City Corporation area. After the accident, the people around rescued the other passengers and took them to the Upazila Health Complex, another passenger named Md. Habibur Rahman Habur died.
He is the son of deceased Md Hossain Ali of Barshipura village of Itna upazila. The injured are CNG driver Md Hriday (30), son of Ah Sahid of Kajala village, Tarail, Kishoreganj, Md Ramzan Ali (50), son of Md Amanullah of Kalla area of the same upazila, and Md Zakaria (29), son of Nazil Haque of Panchhat village, Khaliazuri, the passenger.
Md. Ramzan Ali, seriously injured, was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in critical condition. Two others are under treatment at Upazila Health Complex.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Kapasia police station AFM Nasim said that the bodies of the deceased have been recovered and brought to the police station and legal action will be taken subject to receipt of complaints.
