7 arrested for robbery in Katiadi

Police have arrested ;at least seven persons in connection with the robbery at Katiadi of Kishoreganj in the night of Cyclone Sitrang. Cash and gold ornaments were recovered from them.
Police Super( SP) in Kishoreganj Mohammad Russell Sheikh PPM (Bar) informed this information in a press conference at Police Office on Wednesday afternoon.
 Arrested seven people are – Md. Ali (35). Riaz Uddin (50) , Saddam,( 22) Md. Mahfuz (20);, Bachchu, (24) Sultan (30) and gold businessman Haripad Saha of Satiyadi village in neighboring Pakundia upazila.
It is reported that a robbery took place at the house of Masud Akand of North Ghilakandi village of Katiadi upazila on October 25 at around 1:30 am during Cyclone Sitrang. The robbers cut the window grill of the residence and took away 10 pieces of gold ornaments and 18 lakhs in cash at gunpoint. The next day, Masud Akand filed a case in Katiyadi police station naming four people as the plaintiff.
The robbers were sent to Kishorganj district Jail
