Call for skilled youth forces to ensure sustainable development

The National Youth Day was observed in Bhola on Tuesday with the aim of building ‘Sonar Bangla’ as dreamt by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
This year’s theme of the day is “Proshikkhito Jubo Unnato Desh, Bangabandhu’r Bangladesh”.
Marking the day, District Administration and the Department of Youth Development (DYD) chalked out elaborate programmes in the district.
On the occasion, a colorful rally was brought out from the Deputy
Commissioner’s Office premises and ended at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner Office this morning after parading main city streets.
Later, a discussion was held in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner this morning.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md. Toufiq-E-Leahi Chowdhury addressed the function as the chief guest with Deputy Director of Youth Development Department Md. Abed Shah in the chair.
Zila Parishad Chairman Abdul Momin Tulu, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Bibek Sarkar, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Nur Md. Hossain, Additional Superintendent of Police Asaduzzaman, Sadar Upazila Youth Development Officer Fida Hasan, among others, spoke on the occasion.
The chief guest said that if we can create a trained youth society, then we
can build Bangabandhu’s dream of Sonar Bangla.
“Youth Development Department is working relentlessly to train the country’s youth society,” he said, adding that many unemployed youths have been able to improve their quality of life through employment with training and loans from the Youth Development Department.
On the occasion, crests, certificates and cheques were distributed among the trained youths of the district.
Sr. Staff Reporter from (Kishoreganj) reports : The National Youth Day was observed through various programmes across the country on Tuesday.
With the aim of building ‘Sonar Bangla’ as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and keeping in mind the efficiency, creativity, self-confidence and enthusiasm of the youths, this year’s theme of the day is Proshikkhito Jubo Unnato Desh, Bangabandhu’r Bangladesh’.
In Kishoreganj, Directorate of Youth Development including District Administration in Kishoreganj arranged various programmes likes colour full rally, discussion, certificate and cheque distribution among the skilled youths.
A discussion meeting was held at local Youth Development Centre Auditorium on Tuesday.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) in Kishoreganj Mohammad Shamim Alam attended as chief guest and Police Supe (SP) Mohammad Rasel Sheikh PPM (Bar) and Deputy Secretary (DS) & Deputy Director (DD) in local Government (LG) Habibur Rahman were special guests while Deputy Director (DD) Mossamot Farzana in the chair.
DC Mohammad Shamim Alam said, The Department of Youth Development is providing skill enhancement training to the youths to make them fully skilled, modern and conscious while many of them have already emerged as successful ones.
Noting that a society of meritorious, skilled and ideal youths is the backbone of the nation, DC Mohammad Shamim Alam added.
Lalmonirhat Correspondent reports: The National Youth Day was observed in Lalmonirhat like the rest of the country with this theme.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the National Youth Day on Tuesday morning. After that, a discussion meeting titled “Trained Youth, Developed Country” was organized by the District Youth Development Directorate and five successful self employees were felicitated.
District Youth Development Directorate Deputy Director Abdul Majeed presided over the discussion meeting as chief guest was Deputy Commissioner Abu Zafar. Special guests were Captain (Retd.) Azizul Haque Bir Prateek, Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Kamruzzaman Sujan.
At that time, officials of government offices, officials of district youth development department, trainers, trainees, youth organizers and journalists were present.
