Prof Dr. Awal joins as Dean, Veterinary Science, BAU

Professor Dr.Md.Abdul Awal joins as Dean, Faculty of Veterinary Science, Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) on Sunday. Prior to joining he was the selection grade professor in the department of Anatomy and Histology of BAU, Mymensingh. He is now 37th Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Science ,BAU.
Born in October 31,1963, Professor Dr.Md.Abdul Awal comes from Brahmanbaria district . He passed DVM under the Faculty of the Veterinary Science, BAU in 1984 acquiring First class , He did MSc in Anatomy from BAU in 1989 acquiring first class first.
He did his Ph.D from the Kagoshima University ,Japan. in 1996. He also completed Post Doctoral Fellow in University of Tokyo. Japan , Kagoshima University,Japan in 1999 to 2001, 2003 to 2004, 2004 to 2005.
Professor Dr.Md.Abdul Awal joined BAU as a Lecturer in 1988 and He was promoted to the rank of Professor in 2002.He was also visiting professor at Pohang University of Science and Technology(POSTECH) South Korea in 2004 to 2005.
Professor Dr.Md.Abdul Awal possesses an eminent, well known and respected background of career with a plethora of research exposure and quality national and international publications. He worked as an editor of many national & international Journals. He has 64 number of publications in journals and proceedings included 25 in impact factors journals.
