Community Policing Day observed in dists

The Community Policing Day was observed at Gazipur Sadar with the motto of community policing the peace and order everywhere” on Saturday.
A discussion meeting and rally was held in Hotapara area organized by Joydevpur Police Station. After the discussion, a colorful rally brought out from Joydevpur Police Station and circled the different roads of Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway and the rally ended at Hotapara bus stand.
Earlier in the morning, Mirzapur Union Awami League convenor Md spoke at the Policing House Day programme under the chairmanship of Mahatab Uddin, the officer-in-charge of Joydevpur Police Station and investigation officer Quddus Munsi. Among others, Enamul Haque, convenor member of Gazipur Sadar Upazila Awami League Mosharraf Hossain Dulal, officer in charge of Baria police station Ashraful Islam, officer in charge of Hotapara police station Zahurul Islam, President of Gazipur Sadar Upazila Press Club Abul Kashem and General Secretary Jasim Uddin were present there..
 Speakers in the meeting said that community policing has an important role in preventing social crimes. Police are people’s friends. There is no substitute for community policing to reduce the fear of police among common people and ease the service.
 Bhawalgarh Union UP members Emdadul Haque, Tariqul Islam Ripon, Shahjahan Mia, Alfaz Uddin, Saiful Islam, Awami League leader of Bhawalgarh Union Qayyum Sarkar along with various police officials, journalists, social and political party leaders were also present.
 Meanwhile, at the same time, a discussion meeting and rally was organized by Nayoor Highway Police at Hotapara Al Mecca Hotel in Sadar Upazila. On this occasion ASP Amrit was present as the chief guest under the chairmanship of officer in-charge of Nayoor Highway Police Station Mostafiz.
Feni Correspondent reports: Feni District Superintendent of Police Zakir Hasan auspiciously inaugurated programmes of the Community Policing Day by hoisting balloons on the occasion of Community Police Day in front of the office of Feni District Superintendent of Police.
On the occasion of the Community Policing Day, a rally was brought out by Feni District Police in front of the Feni District Police Superintendent’s Office. Feni District Superintendent of Police Zakir Hasan, Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration and Finance) Deen Mohammad, Feni Municipality Mayor Nazrul Islam Swapan Miyaji, Community Policing Feni District Committee President Haji Alauddin and members of Feni District Police and Force, community policing were present in the said rally.
Staff Reporter from Mymensingh adds: The Community Policing Day was observed at Muktagacha Upazila in Mymensingh on Saturday. On this occasion, a rally was organized by Muktagacha Police Station and Thana Community Policing Committee at Muktagacha Police Station complex after the circuit of the important roads of the city. Billal Hossain Sarkar, Mayor of Muktagacha Municipal , was present as the chief guest in the discussion meeting. Under the chairmanship of Muktagacha Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md.
