Old trader killed over trifling matter

An old shopkeeper was killed after he was severely injured with brick pieces over a trifling matter at Moishadi village under Chandpur Sadar Upazila recently.
The deceased was identified as Mobin Patwary (58), a resident of Moishadi village.  
According to local UP Chairman Nurul Islam Patwary and Police, as usual, Mobin went to open his shop beside the road near his home on Sunday morning. A few bricks and brickpieces were kept earlier by someone on the road in front of the shop, not known to him.
Over this matter, a local youth Tanjil Ahsan (22) had picked a quarrel with Mobin. Tanjil was blaming Mobin again and again for keeping the bricks and brickpieces there. An altercation took place and at one stage, hand to hand clash took place between them.
At one stage Tanjil severely injured Mobin with brick pieces and he collapsed on the ground and lost his sense. At once , angry mob caught hold of Tanjil while fleeing and later handed him over to Sadar Model Thana Police. Meanwhile Mobin was rushed to Chandpur General Hospital where the on duty doctor Asibul Ahsan declared him dead.
A murder case was filed in this connection. The arrested Tanjil was sent to jail hajot through court -said Sadar Model Thana ‘s OC Abdur Rashid. Locals said, Tanjil is a spoiled youth of the area.
