Two killed in Fakirhat road accidents

Two persons including a college student were killed and two others were injured in two separate road mishaps took place in Fakirhat Upazila in Bagerhat district on Wednesday.
It is learnt from the eye-witnesses and the police that on the day at about 2 pm one person was killed and 2 others were injured when a motor bike dashed another motor bike from its behind violently at Lokpur area under Fakirhat Upazila. As a result, 3 riders were injured, one seriously. Seriously injured man was rushed to Khulna Medical College Hospital where the physician on duty declared him dead. 2 others were released from the Hospital after taking first aid treatment. Both the motor bikes were going towards Khulma. The deceased was identified as Chayan Debnath son of one Chinmoy Debnath of Khanpur area under Sadar Upazila in the district and a student of 3rd year B.A. (Honours) of Bagerhat Govt. PC College.

Another report states that one motor cyclist was killed when his vehicle collided with a road side pillar of a culvert on Khulna-Dhaka Highways near at Faltita Bazar under the Upazila on the same day in the evening (at 6 pm). The deceased was identified as Shaykat, son of one late S M Kamruzzaman of Mollahat Upazila in the district.
It is stated that in the evening Shaykat was returning home (Mollahat) from Fakirhat area by a motor bike and when he reached the place occurrence it collided with the pillar of the culver and consequently, he was fatally injured. The passers-by rushed him to Fakirhat Upazila Health Complex where the physician on duty declared him dead. It was confirmed by Muhammad Alimuzzaman, Officer-in-charge of Fakirhat Model PS.
