3 policemen held on charge of robbery Tk 15 lakh in capital

Motijheel Police arrested three police constables on the charge of extortion ofTk15 lakh in Motijheel of the capital. Arrested police members are identified as Md. Kamrul Islam (35), Rafiz Khan (26) and Tushar Imran (31).
Motijheel Zone Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police Abul Hasan confirmed this to the media on Wednesday (October 26). He said that after the arrest they were taken to the court. The court sent them to jail after two days of remand.
Among those arrested, Kamrul has already been suspended from police service in a money-related case.
Rafiz and Tushar were posted in Rajarbagh Police Lines.
DMP Motijheel Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Md. Russell Hossain told the media that after receiving a complaint of robbery of Tk 15 lakh in the identity of CID, the CCTV footage of every place in Motijheel area was collected and reviewed. The accused were identified by reviewing around 50 footages from various spots. Kamrul Islam, who planned this robbery, was suspended earlier.
