Three killed in Tangail road mishap

Three people, including two policemen were killed when a speedy microbus hit the back of a goods laden truck and rammed at Madhupur upzila in Tangail. At that time, two more people were also critically injured. The accident took place at Golabari area of Madhupur-Jamalpur regional road on Monday .
The deceased were identified as Nurul Islam (26) and Sohel Rana (33) members of Narayanpur police station in Jamalpur Sadar and Lalon (24), accused in a rape case. Lalon was the son of Abul Hossain of Gajarhata village of Jamalpur Sadar.
Confirming the incident, Mazharul Amin, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Madhupur Police Station said, after completing the medical examination of the rapist Lalon, a team of Narayanpur police station returning from Dhaka through a microbus. While reaching at Golabari area, losing control their microbus hit a truck from the back. At that time two policemen and the accused were killed on the spot instantly leaving two more people injured.
The bodies of the deceased have been sent to Tangail General Hospital for autopsy on Tuesday morning. After completing all the legal procedures, the dead were handed over to their respective families, the OC also added.
