CAAB suspends operation of 3 coastal belt airports till Tuesday noon

The authority concerned has suspended operation of three coastal belt airports due to the inclement weather as the cyclonic storm Sitrang hit coastal areas Monday evening. Three airports at Bangladesh’s coastal belts are Chattogram International Airport, Cox’s Bazar and Barishal. These three airports will remain closed till 12 noon on Tuesday.
The Civil Aviation Authority, Bangladesh (CAAB) on Monday has shut down the operations of these three airports from 3 pm on Monday to 12 noon on Tuesday.
The CAAB will review its decision after observing the weather situation. Meanwhile, all the scheduled flights have been cancelled supposed to schedule for these three airports.
