Four gamblers, one drug dealer arrested

Pagla Police Station conducted a raid in Gafargaon upazila of Kandipara area and arrested four gamblers and one drug dealer. They were sent to Mymensingh Jail on Thursday morning. The were gambler Rohit (50), Maqbul (40), Sohag (25), Babul (27) and drug dealer Dipu (28).
Police said that gambling Abdur Rohit had engaged guards in the Kandipara area of Usthi Union of the upazila and set up a gambling bord. On Wednesday night during game time a team of police conducted a strategic operation and arrested 4 gamblers Rohit, Maqbul, Sohag, Babul of that area. At this time, they seized gambling materials. Also in another operation drug dealer Dipu was arrested.
Pagla Police Station OC Rasheduzzaman said that gambler have been sent to the court with a case under the Gambling Act and the drug dealer under the Narcotics Act. Our campaign will continue.
